My sweet friend Teia recently sent me some black/silver patterned paper to use on my craft ventures. I got this pack of paper... looked at it, puzzled... and wondering what to do with these beautiful patterns. Black/grey/silver are not colours I would normally use... in anything but clothes. Previously I had just thrown patterns on a panel, this time I wanted it to go somewhere.. A tree, sunshine, family... came to mind. It's definitely far from perfect but I did not see that while painting. After blocking out the basic figures and the tree, I added some stamps and stenciled the leaves. I was definitely starting to like the looks of this but it was too bland so I created some lines, turned that into blocks and decided that the left hand side of the tree annoyed
